It would be interesting to know the real package for pilots, both Captains and F/O. Surely there is something else besides the pay described here to compensate for a so low basic salary in order make it competitive. I have some difficulty in understand why a experienced pilot would want to apply to a B744 DEC with a basic of $5,750 (except the unemployed ones, of course) and live in an expensive city like Hong Kong. Perhaps most of pilots are living around, like Macao, Thailand, Indonesia, etc.

If it is via the post on this thread via whitecross - it may be lacking credibility. The reason for that is the same person also provided me with totally bogus salary offer -. If anyone can bring different information to this thread to give a more accurate bond terms would be appreciated
