Cargo Pilots
hi folks
i was wondering if there are any cargo pilots doesnt matter of 727 or 747 cargo pilots i am just wondering what a regular rotation is like for you???? |
At ABX Air (DHL America) it's "week-on, week-off" in theory, with lots of variations. Most lines have 7-8 day blocks of flying twice per month. Each block is a series of day layovers (fly hub to destination early AM and back to hub in PM, with 3-5 hours at hub each night). Most blocks include a weekend layover, mostly Sat to Monday but a few Friday to Monday or Saturday to Tuesdays (YYC is a four day!). There's a lot of other trips/lines out there but this covers about 75% of our flying.

Surely it's like everyone else after V2?:} :ouch:
(All right Ratty, I know, back to Dunnunda!):( |
Speaking of cargo 747s, just what is Connie Kalitta doing with 4 red and gold 747s in Memphis lately? A buddy told me that they have been seen there often. Are they flying heavy freight for FEDEX?
|
Connie's airplanes in Memphis are doing mail runs for Fed Ex. All postal freight-Fed Ex has a huge mail contract, but not the lift for Christmas. Its the same as last year.
We fly 17 day lines in a month usually all in a row. Sometimes 14 hours between flights sometimes 3 or 4 days. |
Arent Kalitta running the USPS mail contract into KWI?
|
yes they are, contract was renewed
