A 727 (albeit a corporate one, not a freighter) was the very first jet job I ever applied for. It was more of a Hail Mary pass (I was nowhere near qualified), but it sure would have been fun. Incidentally, the airplane was mothballed only a few months later, although I didn't find that out until recently.

Mmmmm
Think he was making a joke about the carravelle. Overly sensitive response. Admission you waste your wages flying out of date "real" simulators. I smell a rat. You seemed to be an expert on airbus A330 operation on previous threads. If you weren't just a simmer you'd know the B727 was as useful a rating and experience as flying a kite. Weight counts for nothing like it used to. It's all about having a modern glass rating a company operates and time on type. |
Cliff, the whole site has been taken over by simmers. It's so obvious (at least to me) that it doesn't even bother me anymore. After all, if the admins don't care (and they don't), why should I?
I'd love to fly a Caravelle. |
Yeah they're everywhere. Crazy buggers with a Walter Mitty complex

Hi, I flew the 727 as a Flight Engineer in the 8o,s, now retired and enjoying a ground engineer,s life, There a number of 727,s based at Lasham Airfield,UK, some are private, there are two on the G reg operated by a UK based oil dispersant company.
Some are in private hands based in he Gulf |
still waiting for that picture, so m-onto can tell us how it feels to eat his heart out
:) |
Last I heard Trackdiamond has moved onto a Tu-114 rating. He'll be posting a pic soon.

727 last of a great era
All I will add is Enjoy the tri-jet if you choose to embark on it. One of the best A/C I ever spent a few thousand hours in!
No computers, just good old aviating! PM me if you need manuals |
He's been too busy pm'ing me Swaheli insults to post pictures. Maybe the Tu114 was a cheaper sim add-on than the 72. Trisaurus complex!
He's an ATR expert now, too. http://www.pprune.org/rumours-news/5...ml#post8858970 |
