Belfast RP-C8020/One Sky, Inc?

Re: RP-C ADDITIONS / The Belfast by Propfan on Tue Apr 15, 2008
'It's interesting to see that Belfast RP-C8020 has now been registered to One Sky, Inc. Google yields nothing about this company.
According to Aviation Letter Magazine (FEB07 issue), this plane was rgd. to Heavylift Cargo Airline as RP-C8020 (from Sierra Leone's register 9L-LDQ) in JAN07.
No idea what this latest move means. Has anyone ever actually seen this
plane in the Philippines ?'

Heavy Cargo 2nd Jun 2008 11:58

One Sky is owned by HeavyLift. Aircraft was in Taiwan and Philippines several months ago. Still running well.:D

The AvgasDinosaur 6th Jun 2008 00:39

I understand the change from Sierra Leone register to Phillipines was due to Australian Government concerns about the level of oversight from Sierra Leone authorities.
Be lucky

mark g leach 6th Jun 2008 05:30

spot on

The government wouldnt recognise Sierra Leone registration...
Hence the thieves went to the Philippines for registration....
Now got Ozjet a complete white elephant....lets watch and have a chuckle.
Soon to be wiped off the map by competitors here in Australia....
One of the greatest days in CARGO HISTORY NO MORE HEAVYPROBLEM!!!:ok:

Heavy Cargo 5th Jul 2008 09:10

They just bought AAE B727 Freighter 6 x B727s now and 4 B737 from OZ Jet ?
Not wiped out yet. :ugh:

CAT TRACKS 18th Jul 2008 20:41

Belfast, Ex G-HLFT Where are you now?

Any one know just what IS happening to our old "company motor"?
Lost touch since Happy Life sold her on.
Admiral, do you know anything?
Pls advise. Rgds PP. :ugh:

Hockham Admiral 23rd Jul 2008 08:58

PP, FT is based in Cairns and works occasionally, still. Last I heard the crew is Brian Porter and Dave Duffy (pilots) Alan Rash is FE/LM/GE and Mike McKeever is the check GE (he signs off).
PS looked like flying last year but with the closure of the engineering base at PIK that's not going to happen, I guess. Pity because Robbie McCarnie spent years getting her back together!

Belfast and RP-C8020

22nd May 2009. RP-C8020 ..constant AOC issues. CASA now appear to have removed the blinkers as see the picture re the company that governs the aircraft.

Various registrations since the original UK based firm, 9L-LDQ and RP-C8020. Both Sierra Leone and the Phillipine appear to be flags of convenience, the Philippine Civil aviaion has mentioned the issuance of unauthorized certificates for RP-C8020 and RP-C8019 ( Refer the article Aviation and the Philippines dates 22/5/2009).

Both aircraft and other aircraft wre initially purchased and operated by HeavyLift Cargo Airlines (Nicholas Leach ???). HeavyLift Cargo, One Sky, Transglobal, Sky Aviation and OZJet all have the same person involved. It would be good to see the end of such operators and their entire clan.

Sadly G-BEPS was broken up at Southend earlier in the year.

Bundaberg 23rd May 2009 11:45

Belfast RP-C8020

To the best of my Knowledge the aircraft RP-C8020 is grounded in Cairns,
similarily RP-C9019 B727-200 has same issues ( according to Phillipine web page) following allegations by the Phillipine Authourity re registration difficulties. Just look at the Heavylift G-HLFT, then 9L-LDQ,now RP-C8020.

All is not clear as HeavyLift utilises numerous names, Transpacific, TransGlobal, South Pacific GHS, One Sky Abviation, Oz Jet and remember Group Air (South Pacific Air Motive) the airline that had the DC3 that unfortunately aborted into Botany Bay some years ago. Perhaps a HeavyLift CEO was the pilot in command at that time, the investigation is on the web for all to view.

No doubt the authorities are further investigating.

Heavy Cargo 26th May 2009 11:05

B Burg, Info clearly wrong as no RP birds are grounded.8019 and 8020 certs were just renewed.

People like you who do nothing should not talk. Get a job or a life.

Hi Heavy Cargo

how is the freight business going, any fallout from your other company, Ozjet Airlines, being under administration? Creditors meeting was just the other day wasn't it.

I understand that Heavylift is listed as a very significant creditor to Ozjet ......$(AUD) 13 Mill plus or minus I suppose.

That might hurt the HL bottom line,....

Pine Tree Island 31st May 2009 12:19

Sorry Heavy Cargo, remiss of me not to post the link to the other post.

http://www.pprune.org/dg-p-reporting...landing-7.html

BTW just to remind you, the recent Ozjet creditors meeting mentions some $700 000 owed to the guys....maybe HL could sell the big sucker to pay us.

Thanks

Heavy Cargo 1st Jun 2009 13:18

OZ Jet is being sold to another operator and B737-200 leased back to start flying again for them. HeavyLift will write off the 13Million and move on with the freighters. As advised all entitlements will be paid in full, super is upto date, heavylift paid the last payroll . The new operator is taking the staff back whom want to go flying.

We wish you all well.

Connaught 2nd Jun 2009 04:16

i ain't got my super, or my final cheque, glad i was only casual as you owe me about 4 grand, i feel for the full timers

and i really want to know if i am 'gettin payed tommorrow' then when does it get here???????

Peter Brady 2nd Jun 2009 04:33

HC
A magnanimous gesture to write off the 'heavily' massaged loss with Ozjet. Strip the company bare (understand even the furniture at MELHQ was not Ozjet's, but that of the Ansett liquidators), starve it for operating capital, whack it into administration, and voila! - tax offsets for a few yeers. Some suggest this was the plan from the outset.
PB (someone who does care!)

HC, you post this in the Frieght Dog section of PPRuNe, which is not really a place that the victims of your latest foray into SLF actually venture.

I really thought that you might have big enough cojones to send an email to all and sundry to thank those that trusted and supported you. Yesterdays baggage I suspect.

You could even have even taken the lazy way out and have posted it in the relevant thread.

Hey, would you care to guarentee the entitlements and job prospects that you posted about.

I wish you well too...:yuk:

Another fairy tale

Grounded Pine 9th Jun 2009 09:45

Still waiting

Hi there Nick,

Seems there are some people out there that are looking for you.

Just wanted to mention that it is now well over a week since you posted that all entitlements would be met.

That would be really appreciated on this end cause last I heard it was only going to be 5c in the dollar... This doesnt keep my kids fed or bank manager happy. I'm really looking forward to the big deposit.

Let me know if you need my account details again - just in case they got lost in all the kerfuffle.

Regards,

HC

if my mates and me get paid out I will come back here and make a big public thank you.....BUT how much of a big if will it be??

Bets anyone?

Bundaberg 22nd Jun 2009 10:27

Limited response is normal

You will find that NL will no longer be thinking of OZ, its business or its staff. Perhaps you will not receive another reply to any comments.

Do look up NL and his previous companies via web, their reasons for failure, the staff payouts etc.

If you believe the boss of Heavylift - OZ is genuine with his web responses and you expect a good resolve then you must believe that the Tooth Fairy actually does exist.

It appears an absolute joke that some companies can just continue to operate.

Persons owed monies should consolidate and look for a helpful solicitor who may be assist with possibilities of placing a lien over the companies aircraft for unpaid salaries. Or perhaps a caveat over the company office, or residential property purchased by the company for any company office bearer.

Like many others I look forward to the end of predatory operators.

Good luck:ok:

gas-chamber 23rd Jun 2009 07:49

Bundy, a lien over airplanes is common enough and not hard to organise with the right legal eagles doing the work. But those old birds are now just so much scrap. Leaving them parked anywhere except the desert will cost more than what coud be realised in a sale. I believe that all the Ozzie registered ones have had their certificates pulled by CASA because of airworthiness issues. So now they can't be moved anywhere except on the back of a truck. Even that will cost because someone has to pull the wings etc. The Perth Airport Fire Dept should have plenty of old carcasses to practise on.

Bundaberg 2nd Jul 2009 11:21

It must be Q & A for CASA

Whats happening.

CASA should now be really jumping forward and getting out of their restructuring issues. Have your numerous Inspectors pay a visit on the owners of the following aircraft and with respect please check the Manual Suite, Aircraft Log Records and Crew Certification and Limitations.

RP-C8016, 9L-LEK..in Cairns, QLD, no fly since 2006.
RP-C8020, 9L-LDQ in Cairns, QLD, no fly since January 2009
RP-C8017, 9L-LFJ last in Brisbane
RP-C8019, N76753 last in Brisbane

VH-VLH now reported on web as N727HL
VH-OZD -same- N731HL
VH-OZX -same- N737HL
VH-OZU -same- N733HL
VH-OBN -same- N732HV

These above five aircraft apparently have been allocated "N" series registrations. Did the authority check all records and were all test flown prior to registration issue.

In total we have nine aircraft and possibly two have flown in the past months. All flights must be recorded and the authorities can pull the flight plans.

No paper, no flight, no check = no rego.

Must advise the papers!:hmm:
