Snoop Channel Express Takeover Target!

Reports in todays financial press that DART GROUP, (parent company of Channel Express) has seen some very un/healthy interest from someone who is building up a stakeholding. Shares have risen strongly from a low of 133pence at the start of this year to Fridays' close of 201pence. Being one of the few companies in aviation/transport that makes a profit, someone is either being very canny or wants to make a quick buck!

well as a Dart grp share holder I am as pleased as anyone to see the shares on the up. But couldn't see a reason for it??

But don't forget the Dart group is not just channex, the main focus of growth and profit is the road/sea distribution arm. ie Fowler welsch, ferry speed, commodore etc.

A very solid group, still worth a buy.

May be it has something to do with the purchase of six more 737-300's (from Oz), announced yesterday, for their UK pax operations and the award of the Royal Mail contracts?

I believe that FerrySpeed and Commodore are actually competitors to the Channel Express/Fowler Welsh/Coolchain road/sea distribution network.
