China Cargo Airlines

Does anyone have any information on this company? They are looking for type rated 777 FOs and advertise reverse basing options in Europe and the US through parc. I wonder if anyone can shed some light on the reality of working there. Best regards

Looks like only European and American residents/passport holders can apply. And just 8 777freighters, wonder how many pilots they need.

Also looking at this. Wondering why it's so quite on the forum? Not many opportunities for EASA people to fly the 777 at the moment, unless you speak Greman...

Also, Why would they look for 777 pilots outside? when their own are furloughed? Say from CSA,AC etc

Had an online interview last week with representatives from Fleet and Training. I got word Friday that that was successful so next step is preparing for travel to China for assessment.

Hi guys,
No reverse Scheddule at all, all is Shanghay base, your English will be downgraded to level 4 as per their CAA, subrealistic way of CAA understanding the ICAO English Language in a Country no one speaks in aviation good english at all, and then you can apply for upgrade after 3 years??? """No way Jose!!!""".
If you are a Captain everybody starts as F/o they called P2, and clarify to you on a gntle email as "Cruise capt", you make up your mind guys, is like a scam, since advertise says they looking for Captains to downgrade you on arrival, and then after good performance and some other wide abstract terms "you will be put on the upgrade course?".
Ok, hold on, in a 3 year contract they are going to allow you to be on ground and fully paid for the upgrade, after 6 months of "good behaviour"??? Ahhh no, if you do not do the 840h, then no pay.... I mean deducted for the total you should get minus what you did not fly.
And pending of the CAA examiner, which could be your your life punishment.
Please guys take a personal recommendation read: Flying upsidedown, that book will give you more information than your Part C on China and how they behave.

You have been warned before hand!!!!

I naive believed some agencies were serious, I was wrong.

Good luck with your journey.

Thanks for the updates. So looks like your already in it. Yeah it sucks to get demotedchuh! So I guess I wanna wish u goodluck to your roller coaster ride.

Some things never change in china. I was in Beijing for many years before COVID and the only good day was once a month during payday. Every other day was a struggle fighting the system, the people and their ridiculous rules and penalties.

Out of mild curiosity; you seem to be displeased with ICAO level four… what level do you think you should have? Five or six?

Shouldn´t it be the same as the licence you show up with?
