Brian "Sam" Samuels has flown west.

It is with sadness that I must announce that Flight Engineer Brian ‘Sam’ Samuels - active in the 1960s and 70s with Transmeridian, Uganda Air, HeavyLift and later Aer Turas - passed away on December 22nd 2017 after a long illness.
Brian’s funeral will be at Southend Crematorium on January 16th at 10:20 a.m.

What sad news. My condolences to his family. A true gent and a pleasure to fly with. I knew him from Transmeridian. How well I remember the painless “administration” of various inoculations needed by Dr. Samuels during his in-flight review of one’s health certificate!
