'Scuse me - as 4 of the 6 737s are passenger aircraft (alright, 2QC), why is this topic in freight dogs? By my count, at least 20% of Channex is now passenger!

Thumbs up

I flew one of the ex-Ansett 737's earlier this week on a GO-FLY charter. It is now G-CELS but used to be VH-CZH. For a 1986 aircraft it is very tidy although totally different in layout to our QC aircraft and also fully ETOPS compliant. From the sound of it we have lots of work for it and the others!

deeps, because some of them may or may not be converted into QCs . How do you replace a 15 tonne a/c?, either go for the cockroach or go up to a 757 ala DHL. Its sad but the time is near for all those L188s and 727s to vanish from the European hubs, due in no part because of some very fierce green party politics. At least Channex are taking on crews and engineers (how many are struck off the tea list at Happylift this month?). More to the point they employ Europeans including our Estonian friends and are succesful at it. Look at the A300B4 freighters tramping around europe, and ask yourself whose idea that was? Many F/Es are now in employment for years to come. Hope that answers your query?

From July's 'Aviation Letter'

VH-CZG (MSN23659) has gone to Israel for a cargo door to be installed. Will go to CEAS after conversion.

Its sad to see the Electras going , a fine aircraft and meny an amusing night spent with the likes of popcorn and oldletch but all in all I think I,m better of at the front of boeings latest offering with five girls to make me tea.

Freightdoggy dog please do not take offence your tea was very welcome at two in the morning but the girls are much more easy on the eye !.

A and C, do not take offence but you were not easy on the eye stuck in the jacuzzi at the Royal Scot. Still squashed between Duct Recovery and Gaw Blimey Christine there was always room for a "little" one! P.S Old Letch sends his regards
