B757 Recruitment.

Is a certain UK airline's forthcoming recruitment campaign for a few B757 DEC's and some 20+ experienced & type rated F/O's for Northern England bases going to lead to a drain from DHL Leipzig...?

Discuss.

The word from the 'Sauerkraut and Bratwurst' diner the other night is yes, probably quite a few UK based folk who commute to East Germany have all applied! Not sure if it will have a huge impact though, there aren't that many UK guys in Leipzig now, those that are based there are all low-houred types. LEJ is mostly other Europeans from horrible pilot market places such as Spain and Italy...

Ola Honiley, did you had bad times in Spain or Italy for such a harsh comment?

Hola! Far from it, big fan of both countries, simply referring to its dire pilot market over the last few years! As is evident by the menu in the Leipzig canteen - paella and pasta! (As well as pork!)

I would give my right arm to fly RHS on a 757 freighter, everyday I look up in the sky and wish I could have that dream job or even just one flight to fulfil my heart's desire...

Don't waste you time. The job isn't worth the agro and the pilots are treated like animals.

ZZA must be management!

Seems it could be more of an issue for a certain Humberside based TP Operator! A significant number of requests for 'Training Files/Certificates'...

Makes sense - lots of North East/Scottish based folk already and a genuine step up!
