Taking Water Through Security When Operating a Freighter Aircraft
Hi Folks
In the UK, what are the rules regarding taking a bottled drink over 100ml through security and then onto your aircraft if you're operating a freighter?
I once told security that I'm operating a cargo aircraft and so my bag will be going into the "hold" seeing as its a freighter (turboprop) and the only thing separating the hold from the flightdeck is the door. It actually worked as the ground staff took my bag, put a manual tag on it and loaded it for me. I then walked down to the rear of the hold and grabbed my bag and I was able to quench my thirst during the flight.
Is it the same rules for taking liquids as for passenger flights?
Cheers

Water in containers over 100ml
Option 1 Have baggage delivered to aircraft by authorised/approved baggage screening agency.
Option 2 Have water delivered to aircraft authorised/approved catering company
Option 3 carry your own supply in containers of 100ml or less in a clear resealable plastic bag no more than 20 cm/20cm carried separate from your hand luggage
Option 4 Thirst!

Option 6...
Fill your bag with 3 or 4 2 litre bottles of water...and have it screened...when said security buffoon mentions liquids etc, remove the said bag, and hand it to the ramp agent(who you pre-positioned earlier) on the other side of the metal detector....and tell them not to bother putting it in the hold...on your cockpit seat will be fine..
