Cargolux vs Qatar

1 year ago Qatar Airways bought 35 % of Cargolux shares.
QA spoke of partnership and synergies.
A few weeks later Mr Al Baker wowed to change the culture of Cargolux.
Today QA has hired 2 former bosses of Cargolux and has opened routes out of LUX competing with Cargolux by undercutting its prices by 30%.
Richard Forson was instated as a CFO,serving actually as CEO as well. 2 weeks ago he cancelled the CWA (collective work agreement), ultimately forcing all employees to work under basic labor laws , waiving all benefits acquired over more than 30 years.
Rumors are to outsource the maintenance eventually to DOH, reduce the CV fleet from actually 16 747-400 & 747-8 to as little as 4 airplanes and outsource the pilot work force

as gill scott heron so eloquently stated in a 80s song: the arabs used to be in the third world;damn they have bought the second, and put a firm downpayment on the first one.

From having worked there recently there was an info leaflet made available to everyone that sais that The new investors would not take more than the 35% they have at this time ,but who knows. Can't See CV or Lux Gov letting it happen in the near future.
