I think your information is a little out of date. We are over crewed at the present, until the numbers are corrected by scheduled retirements which should be the case by year's end. They will accept CV's however as a pool of suitable folk is normally held just in case.
Conditions are generally pretty good by the way. One or two niggles and not the best pay but it seems to suit most of those who stay around. Look on the website under FAQ's for actual numbers.

Go to 'Search'....'Advanced Search'. Type in GSS. Click on 'Titles Only'. Highlight 'Terms and Endearment'. Click on 'Search Now'. Repeat, but this time highlight 'Freight Dogs'. Loads of threads containing the information that you need.
