Freight for SA Post

I am exploring the possibility of starting a small airfreight company in South Africa to operate on feeder routes for South Africa Postal Service. Does anyone have any experience of this sector or point me in the right direction.

I would say there is no requirement for this by SAPO otherwise they would be doing it themselves.

Mail yields are low and to run it for the domestic market just wouldn't make sense due to low trucking costs for regional distribution.

Majority of mail is already carried on PAX flights with plenty of capacity available.

Good luck though!
