UAE cleaning up it's act ???

'The UAE currently has four operators of the banned aircraft, and there are 900 operating internationally. Since last year, 16 An-12 and four An-26 were banned by the GCAA.

Ukrainians probably didn't pay for the Audit
Aha Balooshi strikes again. You have to pay for your audits in cash up front including first class seats 5* hotel etc. They (GCAA) sit on the money and after a while hope you go away. Whilst I agree the AN12 may have little time left, the inference that other manufacturers will be subjected to this 'safety scrutiny' takes some swallowing. MD11 anyone ??

Yes, they seem to be cleaning up, especially after the 707 rolled over out of Sharjah. They have been giving a number of operators a hard time, especially the -76 operators. This too shall pass no doubt.
