West Air Luxembourg - Going, Going........

Seems like the West Air Luxembourg boys have been told that their ATP's are going to Atlantic Airlines, in the UK. We have been informed by our ever reliable, caring and communicative management that this will mean little change. We have also been told not to spread any untrue rumours.

In Atlantic, management speak this means that there will be big changes ahead and some of the more outlandish rumours are true. Good luck to the West Air boys; sounds like you will need it..

And we know why they are being brought over to the G- reg?

More contracts in the UK, architects of their own doom or penalised for doing the right thing?

The truth is somewhere in the pre-dawn fog of a cargo ramp "somewhere in the UK"

just out of curiosity, are you, ex-, current-, or know someone at West Atlantic AC? pm if you want.

I think WAL = West Air Luxembourg
AAG = Atlantic Air Group ( G- registered division of West Air)
WESTAIR SWEDEN is as it says
LFD = ATP with Large Freight Door
NORMAL DOOR = ATP without Large Freight Door
So I think it means a Luxembourg based ( registered ?) large freight door equipped ATP is being transfered to Air Atlantique, A Swedish based ( registered? ) ATP with a large freight door is being transfered from Westair Sweden to Luxembourg and one without a large freight door is going from Luxembourg to Sweden.
But I haven't a clue why?
Hope it helps,
Be lucky
David

Could someone please explain, the advantages commercial, operational and or technical of having your fleet registered in 3 different countries ?
Your time and trouble appreciated.

The answer is "Benchmarking"

no 1 can always operate without help, but if no 2 operates no1 follows.
