A330-200 Freighter OWE below nominal?

Airbus Head of Support Charles Champion has announced that the A330-200F in development is not only on time but also at least 500kg below the nominal empty weight, thanks to diligent efforts by the programme team.

If true, this could be a remarkable and game-changing aircraft.

Have looked at this and the figures and it just doesnt work as a serious freighter that will challenge anything out there!!!!!
