744F Performance ?

The FAI recently declared the C5M (with new uprated CF6 Engines) broke several time to climb records including a brake release to FL390 with a 80,000kg payload in 24 minutes.

Any ideas on how the 744F with a similar payload would compare ?

Hard to compare without knowing it's take-off weight compared to mtow. 80T payload with a small amount of fuel or with a large amount? Big difference.

744-wise did sea-level to 450 with about 20T cargo and 25T fuel in 18 mins. Not that we were in a hurry trying to set a record.

FL450? The recommended is 430 right? How often do you go that high?

Not aware of a recomended altiude. There is an optimum altitude based on gross weight etc. Maximum altitude is FL451.

B744F with B5F engines. 160,000 kg BOW, 80,000 kg payload, 30,000 kg of fuel for a 270,000 kg takeoff weight. 16 minutes to FL390 at ISA.

Why go to 451? depends on whose bean-counting rules you're using. CFP says 451, no particular reason not to agree with CFP/PLOG/Flightplan ... 80 mins sector, 744-wise near as dammit empty.
