They tried to get PAX ops on B747-400 last year to LAX/SFO etc. Problems with funding I understand. New biz plan into cargo operations with no news on recruitment just yet.

I had a look around the www to see what info i could find i came across a link to ATI and a note to say who the President is.
Mr Theodore Karabatis.
The website on wikipedia http://www.eliteairlines.gr/ doesn't work.

Interesting that they bought an ex NCA B747-200. Will be in good condition but since all their a/c were disposed of in April 2008 i wonder who has been using it since. Or was it the one that was stored in the desert?

According to CH-Aviation - Airline News, Fleet Lists & More
they're operating 2 x A320's on ACMI in the middle east.

Strange that there's very little information about this company.

I saw one 742F parked in ATH (Greece) last week. Didn't look very active to me as it is collecting dust.

Karabatis is well known and not in any good way!

Was planning to use the old L1011F freighters out of Cyprus sometime ago. see the thread New cargo Outfit out of Cyprus.

The 747-200F SX-DCB is still gathering dust at Athens as of today. It carries 'Elite Airlines cargo' markings.

They're looking to start late October. 6 A320's ordered for the shorter operations. Not too sure about the LH stuff

If it's Karabatis it's all hot air. Look at his track record of getting anything going.... and then look at anything he has ran?

Stay away amigos!

Is big rumour they not getting an AOC, parked up 747 is for sale..The two A320s are leased to Iran Air, they can only operate with Iranian Crews, but 747 SR is meant to be going to Iran Air too?

What makes you say that Karabatis is hot air? He started a Cypriot cargo airline last year
