Good Luck Royal Mail Freight Dogs

Freight Dogs Finally a forum for those midnight prowler types who utilise the unglamorous parts of airports that many of us never get to see. Freight Dogs is for pilots and crew who operate mostly without SLF.

Snoop Good Luck Royal Mail Freight Dogs

Good Luck to you Tommorow

Top Gears Clarkson is racing a Royal mail first class letter from the deep South To Kirkwall.
So if your at Ema/EDI/INV/KOI airports Help them along if you can.

Its all over if hes not at the Thurso ferry for 6am tommorow, give a chuckle if you see Clarkson Fuming.
Must let the Traffic cops know hes coming,
to give the boys a sporting chance

Forgot to say there will be some Cheating, but wont reveal as theres no funin watching it then

Looks like they're starting from Exeter and finishing in Kirkwall.

Titan Beech 350 is flying Exeter-Edinburgh-Kinloss-Inverness-Kirkwall tonight. Looks like the letter will be flying with Jet2, Titan, Aeronova and Benair through the night! No idea why they're filming Kinloss though as doesn't look like it will go there! Keep going boys and girls, you can beat a car!

Driving directions to Kirkwall, United Kingdom
752 mi – about 14 hours 11 mins

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm how much cheating?

Though having said that , EXT - GLA is easily done in 7 hours without speeding IF your lucky with the traffic. It's the next bit thats hard. 5 hours from Glasgow to the north coast of Scotland.... without breaking any traffic laws , ahem.

Wink

I have asked a few Ben Air boys, they grin with delight.
Its the ferry thats going to hinder the Top gear team.

Aeronova had a metro on the morning too at EGPE.

AFAIK they flew direct later into EGPE rather than Kinloss then to EGPE by road.

I think its quite cool showing how its done, rather than people figuring its still done by train

Well Done Freight Dogs, another result for the Owls

p.s Gills bay is Approx 280 miles North of Glasgow.

No problem with the flying mail chaps who do an excellent job.If they get my postman to deliver the letter they may be waiting a bit as he appears dyslexic when it comes to house numbers !

AVGAS

All we got told was that the letter arrived at 1120am
"if you want to know th result, watch the show" so we can take it that the crews etc are all sworn to secrecy. Only other thing I know is that it wasn't Clarkson but the Hamster. Taking his ability in fast normally aspirated cars and races as in Bugatti and Typhoon the letter should have won. But DON'T quote me 'cos i don't know either way.

No, we're not sworn to secrecy, but who wants to be the lemon who spoils the show?

No problem with the flying mail chaps who do an excellent job
Why thank you sir. Please can you tell our management, and they might stop cutting our pay?

Its the ferry thats going to hinder the Top gear team.
Is the ferry really slower than our aircraft? I bet it's touch and go either way.
