Jade Cargo future

Hi There !

Anyone can tell me which is the actual situation of Jade Cargo ? I am listening some rumours saying that LH may pull out from JI if things ( economically ) do not improve in a very very near future, seems like LH is getting tired.

Moreover, in the general forum, there is a topic named " Jade Cargo Exodus ", but no reason of it is given.

Does anyone have some info ? Are we seeing the end of this shorl lived company ?

Thanks !

mikdan

JAE

Jade is very much alive and kicking. Rumours of LH pullout totally unfounded. Very large piece of capacity taken by LH and 4 new ports coming online in next month. The economic downturn has hurt everyone and Jade is no exception but the tactic appears to be one of waiting for other less competitive players to fall over and be one of those left standing when dust settles.

Hi Crossbleed, LH has taken over control of Jade, yes, but business is pretty bad in the cargo sector, and LH-Cargo also has big trouble to get their 19 MD11 filled up.
So if you think with LH in your back you can relax, donīt be too relaxed. Jade never made any money, and LH put a huge amount of money into it, but a certain stress level is reached! So, donīt be too sure! Greets

Guten Tag Herr MD11F.
I certainly didn't mean to give the impression that Jade are bullet-proof just because they have LH behind them. We're all hurting.
Actually, I believe Jade did make some money recently (a month or two), just before the recent global decline in, well, everything.
I hope "a certain stress level is reached" doesn't mean doom is just around the corner, that's certainly not what the powers that be are saying....but that's neither here nor there I suppose.
The fact that LH have put so much money into the operation (The Chinese too), and effectively control the operational side gives me some hope for a happy ending.
Anyhooo, keep ya nose up in the turn!
Wiedersehen.

I just read an article that stated that LH Cargo has cancelled its contract with World for MD-11Fs and B744F and will replace the lift with its own MD-11s and a B744F from Jade. So seems of of the utilization will be improving for the Jade fleet.

keep

you are right sleeping freight dog...

apparently it seems LH has returned all of world aircraft. It seems they will deploy jade aircraft on these routings. Somehow everybody is hurting but LH wants to keep jade flying...
