I was due to start with Mk but recieved an e mail saying the same as the above, that they have suspended recruitment due to the downturn in the industry being felt. I elected to stay in the hold anyway as I've come this far. Anyone working for Mk here? Just wondered how things are holding out/ getting worse or improving?
Cheers

MK has a new boss (TAA director) ans is alive and kicking in de ME...
(what about the MoA they signed with the Belgians a few years ago... not much cooking ... infrastructure standing idle at EBOS..., What about their promises in Parchim!!!! and now a new MoA, hahaahaaa)
Royal Jordanian, MK ink air freight deal
Royal Jordanian has signed an agreement with MK Airlines, one of the leading air freight companies based in Belgium, to jointly develop air freight services through Jordan and the Levant region.
The agreement highlights the intention of the two companies to co-operate to improve fleet utilization by complementing each other’s route networks, air freight handling equipments and mutual expertise
RJ president/CEO Samer Majali and chairman of MK Airlines Dr. Abdullah Alanizi inked the pact on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum held recently in Jordan.
Majali said the two companies will be working towards feeding the capacity of RJ's Airbus A310s and MK Airlines' Boeing 747s and B767s, optimizing costs through joint utilization of each company's facilities, in particular for cargo handling.
Alanizi said that the companies will expand the memorandum of understanding through special prorate and block space agreements in various sectors.
He also said that meetings will be held regularly between the two companies in order to discuss and implement opportunities and review milestones and performances.
Alanizi stressed that the co-operation will be extended to produce handling, a particular area of expertise of MK Airlines, leaders in uplift of perishables like flowers and fish from many major markets in Africa.
MK Airlines is a cargo airline registered in the United Kingdom providing worldwide freight operations. Its main base is Ostend-Bruges International Airport, Belgium

WOW
I am amazed that no one has mentioned the 19 FO's, 11 FE's, and 6 Loadmasters that lost there jobs with MK today.
I hope all the effected crew find other employment soon!

Oh that's bad news. Sorry to hear about the redundencies. I hope the folk concerned aren't out in the cold for too long.
What's going on at MK? The latest news on their website looks positive but people are losing their jobs. How many F/os does that leave?

"MK is under CVA meaning... everyone can be sacked at any moment without... that’s why they operate under CVA. Correct?"
No. I am not an employment lawyer, but just because you are under CVA does not give you the right to be 'sacked at any moment' (in fact being under CVA as long as the company is not being made insolvent... any contract should be guaranteed by the administrators.).
Do not get me wrong I am very in favor that MK prosper and become a lucrative company. Even though the pay for crew is well under par (i.e. SH!T), I have heard from a 'very reliable source' that it is a very nice company to work for.

My personal belief is that the company is going to do very well. The new investor is not likely to back out now, and I am sure he is seeing this for the 'sale' that it is.
Buy an Airline that has a decent amount of connections, with a British (respected) AOC and a base line crew that are willing to do almost anything for the original owner.
I digress.
The Company has the ability to become a good player within the market. I hope the 'DOC' has realized that it is going to be much more expensive to resource new crew in the upswing of the market then to retain the dedicated crew that he already had.
