Airlift International DC-8

Does anybody have information on the above carrier using a Ghanaian registered Diesel 8?

Believe that have flown MOD flights out of the UK on 9G-RAC, an ex-ABX machine.

Found a couple of pictures on the net of the aircraft, at RKT and at LYE. It looks a similar paintscheme to Johnsons Air, and wondered if any of the same guys were behind this company?

Mainly out of Lyneham and with a third jet to follow soon. The MOD contract is obviously paying for the extra aircraft.

Ah.

I know of A.C.E. with their AXA and AXB but I didn't know that Airlift International were related to them, other than both performing MOD flights.

Ah, I thought you meant the "Airlift International" of the '70s and '80s.

A classic airline saddly missed in this day and age.
