Centurion acquiring Tradewinds???
Rumors are circulating out of Miami that Centurion Air Cargo has
purchased the assets of Tradewinds out of Chapter 11.
Whether or not this means that Centurion is going to operate B74Fs
on their own, I don't know, but I guess they now have access to Asia?

No rumor at all, and the certificates will remain separate, at least for now. You might see a couple Classics come down to MIA in a few months, to fly for CAC but as Skylease 1 dba Tradewinds...
<<SKY LEASE 1, FL, an affiliate of CENTURION AIR CARGO, Miami, purchased the operating assets of bankrupt TRADEWINDS AIRLINES, NC (six A300Fs) for $1.77m cash and assumed liabilities in deal arranged by Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod.>>

Not much assets left from Tradewinds.
A few clapped out A-300s perhaps.
There is talk of getting a couple of 747 classics and with oil at $78.00 per barrel it may work for a few weeks...
A few "select" hard working crew members may be called back.
Centurion's payscale is even worse than Tradewinds's.
Pretty bleak picture, but good luck to those who are willing to step up to the plate.

Fed Ex wouldn't go near them with a 10 ft. pol. Reliability and customer satisfaction is the Fed Ex watchword. Centurion and Tradewinds has neither, however I really do hope they make it. I have a lot of good friends at Tradewinds and I would hate to see them on the street.
