Cargoitalia Europe-USA flight schedule

Anyone know what it is?
I just heard they're flying twice weekly Tradewinds 747F's from MXP/PIK into JFK/ORD/MEX "midweek and weekend".
Anyone have the skinny on which days they're operating Westbound and whether they're using 200's or 400's?

Cheers.

Thanks for your reply.

Do you know when they're headed out westbound?
I'm interested in departure info from MXP and PIK.

I tried their own website but it's not exactly 'a mine of information'.
Looks nice, but doesn't have much to say.

ORD Today 10:35z, JFK on Saturday around the same time.
You are looking for a jump? I can get you the exact times if you want, but they might change from week to week.

BTW what is PIK, I find Glasgow with that, from MXP they go to JFK, ORD and HOU.

PIK is Prestwick; usually a tech stop for most flights.

They are trying to set up with their own 2 747-400s and crews, but the start- up keeps getting put back. Knowing the Italians, it may never happen. Lots of talk........

Hi all,
sorry for delay.
Thanks for all your replies.
Yes, PIK was for Prestwick.
They've been going westbound from MXP for a while but recently announced this service would call into PIK and take on freight from U.K. which I'm interested in.
Is their management unstable and, if so, is it bad enough to affect their operation long term?
Thanks for all your help and assistance.

Well, a few people think so and some think they will not survive this year...but I can tell you DHL and Etihad dont think so and just started big cooperation with Cargoitalia.
I never heard that they stop in PIK, but I can ask on monday and give you some more detailed information.

No, people who need to know it, know it. I am not the company comunicator.

The PIK flight does not go westbound, it comes from the US and goes to MXP.
Hope this helps.

ROTFL
hey thanks a lot for the laugh
at least now i know you work for them (and that you have a future in stand-up)
just a friendly advice, don't spread that sort of (dis)information around if it's that "confidential"

have a nice day and thanks again

Ohh come on...this was just a quick answer.

It all has been settled in the last two weeks and we know it since last week, you will hear about it soon....I guess.

But I am not the one to publish the details of the deal.
We are starting the AUH flights in march, but anyway, what does it change for you?

Hi guys
I work for a UK airline but am looking to help a friend (Italian) who is moving back from California and has more than just a suitcase.
He needs a few things shipped from San Diego to Milan.
Does Cargoitalia fly this route, or any other ideas for cheap shipping of his stuff back to Italy?

It would REALLY be appreciated!

(The airline I work for is UK charter so not much help!)

Does indeed.
Not exactly the solution I was thinking of but at least it removes them from my itinerary.
Many thanks EAM.
