Question

Que?Please clarify message.
There are actually no Polar staff based PIK.
They are employed by the airport, the hangar is leased by Polar.
And with Atlas now owning Polar, who knows how much longer that will be the case.

Cool

Aeroguru - actually, there are Polar employees at PIK (not too many, for sure - all senior management types) - the station staff (including mechanics) are all employed by GPIA as a way of avoiding US liabilities.

mad_jock - everything arranged for you: did you get my email?

OK Guv, I bow to your infinite knowledge. So there are one or two actual Polar staff at PIK.And the mechanics are employed by the airport because of US liabilies(presumably not in certification though?)
Nothing to do with local government funds.
And this guy is doing his ATPL and on the scrounge for a trip.

Cool

Actually, Aeroguru, Polar is currently butting heads with Enterprise Ayrshire precisely because it doesn't employ them but rather GPIA does.
