Question Age 60 Rule with JAR-FCL/Europe

Howdy,
would be curious whether there is any commercial operators that have experience with the reg's in place prohibiting/restricting pilots over 60 from landing/overflying certain European countries.
I have a list that details most of these restrictions for Europe, but would be curious of any operator that do practise this hands-on.

A short example: France apparently reverted their age limitation for co-pilots to 60 effective 31.July 97. However, I learned that this is only true for operators flying with a French AOC or operating for French companies. Is this true?

Would also be curious about any similar exceptions for Italy, Spain, Denmark, Portugal (most of these reportedly accepting pilots older than 60, but subject to permission - how can this be obtained and is it valid per flight or for a certain period).

Any input on this subject appreciated.

Thanks
fcit
