Question UK Job Opportunities

Like 'outermarker', I’d like to try for a job in the UK. I have the right to work there and know what is involved in converting my New Zealand CPL to a JAA equivalent. My problem is my age. I am 46 and have only 800 hours or so on singles and piston twins. Does anyone have any thoughts about whether having spent about $NZ30,000 converting my licence etc I am likely to be able to find work? I also have a fair amount of experience in drafting aviation manuals. Is this likely to be of benefit?

I’d certainly appreciate any thoughts anyone might have.

Thumbs up

Yes there are jobs over hear at the moment.
You may find it a little difficult to move straight to a jet with 800hrs, however, most of us have come through the turboprop route.
I do not see your age as a problem.

Good luck!
