C.I. Freight @ Mail Contracts
From a reliable source.
The contracts to the Channel Islands for mail and papers have now been settled.
They had been on hold servral months but the companies have now been annouced?.
Any one know who they are?.
The contracts up for grabs to the Islands are
Bournemouth -Guernsey Mail
Bournemouth -Guernsey Daily Newspapers
Bournemouth -Jersey Mail
Bournemouth -Jersey Daily Newspapers
There might be more contract flights out of Bournemouth but all I know is the Channel Islands ones have or are in the process to be signed look out 2007?
From what I have gainded the newspaper contract to Jersey was the Monday to Friday only one but this might have changed.
There was also a freight contract Tuedays to Friday from Bournemough to the Islands this might be part of the renewal contract but who has got them??
From what I was lead to believe some weeks ago Aurigny was one of the possible carriers or hoping to be for both the Islands mails flights it might be a surprise who has one these as and when there m=names get release.
If Aurigny has been awared the mail flights they stated they would require two more ATR 72 aircraft good for the Islands as the Shorts 360 is finishing at the end of this year and being withdrawen and up for sale.
