That's what I had heard too, well over a year ago. One has to wonder how the contract was written though. Do they have to switch back to the 300's if the Freighter Configuration is postponed until sometime down the road?

The (allegedly) only reason UPS ordered the 380 was so Airbus would let them cancel the 30 orders for the A300-600 they no longer wanted. Airbus needed big order announcents, UPS didn't want to loose their deposit.
