But HLA barely had enough engines to keep one Belfast in the air so where have these extra engines seemingly appeared from, or did HLA have it wrong and there were plenty of engines available all along?

VEEPS,
Ah but does Endeavour House have a fire escape with security cameras to train on the BBQ to establish, from sitting indoors, when the BBQ has caught fire?

May one presume that Ruslan is a combination of ADB & VDA?

I'm off to Ukraine again in 3 weeks from now but not travelling via Kiev to experience the joys of an AN-24, flying direct into Dnepropetrovsk on a Fokker 70 ..... absolute joy!

Phileas Fogg, Hi
To answer your question re serviceable engines, the problem with HLA was that they had to follow CAA directives to TBO's on the Tyne (about 4000 hrs). However RR lifed the Tyne for about 7000 hrs and other regulatory authorities will accept that..well, some will!

On an admin issue how does the aircraft stand in respect of its registration. Who is the AOC for it and will it have to leave the UK on another register?

I just hope There is enough work for both beasties and she is not just to replace the first one out there. Does anyone know how busy they are out there heard they had a couple of Boeing 727s on line too?
