Captain James White

It is with sadness that I have learned of the passing of Jim White on 27th June, from cancer. I first flew with Jim back in the early 70s on Transmeridian CL44s and for many years afterwards on the same aircraft with Transvalair and United African Airlines. He had retired to Switzerland where he could indulge in his secondary passion of skiing. A total aviator, from the days when he flew a Piper Cub from Newcastle to Freetown and back again in the '60s, he was reported to have been hang gliding in Spain some two weeks before his death.
Many a freight dog war story include Captain Jim White.
A thanksgiving for his life is planned for 9th September, Details from [email protected]
