DUBAI, May 15 (WorldACD) - Emirates has confirmed that it has cancelled an agreement to purchase two A380 freighters from Airbus deciding to convert the order to the passenger version of the "Super Jumbo" instead.
The A380Fs had been due to join the fleet in late 2008.
"The specifications for the A380F have not yet been fully defined and Emirates is working with the manufacturer to get to that stage,” Emirates said in a statement.
“In the meantime, to maintain our delivery positions we have converted the order to the A380 passenger version because we have a need for the additional capacity," the statement added.
