DHL A300 in Baghdad

What is happening with the A300 that landed in Baghdad after being hit by a Missile?
Is it still there? i did hear that they where trying to repair it to fly it out to a maintenance place to fit a new wing.
I wouldnt have thought it was worth it for an old aircraft like this.

Have you seen what's left of that wing?
Send DHL your CV Neil, I'm sure they'll take you on if you wanna fly it out.

Edited to add photos of slightly scratched A300, used by Granny to drive to work on Sundays.

Grrr Re: DHL A300 in Baghdad

Aircraft still in SDA - wing has been repaired, and aircraft was being taxied around the airport and doing engine runs etc... until one of the engines let go.

Got a picture of it repaired (courtesy of DPWN - had to say that or he gets upset!) but no idea how to put it in here!

Flip Flop and Neil,

Be careful when picking a camel from the herd. You wouldn't want to get an ugly one !!!

Re: DHL A300 in Baghdad

Don't worry about it being ugly. I'm not going to be kissing it and besides the lights will be out!!!!

The only down side?, camels normally spit which is disappointing
