Neil,

Last effort was a joint operation with, I think, Atlas and it was to Africa, not China. Didn't work! (That's not saying this won't but it's an awful lot of aircraft to fill!)

There was a joint-venuture with Atlas a couple of years ago. For various reasons it didn't work out.

Was told to sit on this until the official statement was made.

The first 744ERF will arrive in Sep or Oct next year. The second the following year. Possibly more after that.

Destinations are to be China and North America. Possibly also South America.

Will carry more than just TNT freight as contracts with other airlines have been signed already.

How does this affect the current codeshare with China Southern?

The codeshare should continue unaffected. Except that it would a TNT aircraft doing the flights.
