Loadmaster Training
Hi All,
This is my first post, so be gentle with me.
I want to become an onboard loadmaster, but don't know where to get training.
If anyone can help, I would be greatly appreciated.

I would imagine that one of the few ways in now would be via being an airline/ airline services operator dispatcher or alternatively via the RAF. The chances of gaining the necessary experience are very limited and many of the existing LM's are ex service.

PS77, it's an oft asked question and has received seval useful comments in the past. Suggest you use the search function, keyword 'Loadmaster' an select the 'Freight Dogs' forum.

The best way to start is to find a job with a handling agent in a load control department so you can understand the principles of weight and balance. Once you have gained the experience you will be able to apply for a loadmaster psoition, but beware they are not many about now.
The airline will give you dedicated training on the particular type you will operate on.
Hope this helps.
