I read on a wire service that Brinks, the parent company of BAX, which owns ATI, has put BAX up for sale.
BAX = Burlington Air Express

ATI recently advertised for pilots...whatever that means. Do companies circling the drain take on more pilots ? I don't know.

I think Brinks caught everyone by surprise with the BAX offer.

ATI and BAX both did not expect it. BAX had some small expansion plans, explains the new hires, but expect all that went on hold with the impending sale.

Can't even tell if ATI will be part of the sale or spun off as part of the deal.

No public news of any offers.... of course that is to be expected until all involved have hammered out some details. Plus the possibility of a complete shut-down of all operations should the likes of UPS buy them would be another reason to keep the employees in the dark.

Talk about a deal that could go either way ...

BAX carries a lot of baggage s the attached article from Air Cargo World makes clear. Even if they are profitable there may be no takers.
