Anybody know where these conversions are taking place? Are Boeing doing it themselves?

Presently there are two conversion centres for the 747-400sf. Boeing has contracted TEACO in Xiamen, china to convert pax aircraft using a Boeing certified kit. All known customers have signed up with this programm. First aircraft to come off the line is planned for the 4th quarter 2005.
Bedek in Israel has an independent programm, so far without a known customer. They claim to have one order however.
SIA is contemplating a conversion line using Boeing kits as well.

Lets hope they start filling them! The ones that used to come down to Oz were mostly empty & the yield was garbage! They must be doing all right on the EU runs then...

Dunno who's doing the conversions on the 744's, but the remaining 2 742's are supposedly being flogged to Air Atlanta Icelandic (current cargo contract).

Waiting with baited breath to find out if the MAS pilots on the 742's ALL head off for Etihad, or will join AAI and swamp the base with locals.
