Lufthansa Cargo - PIA enter alliance
LH Cargo and Pakistan International Airlines will jointly transport freight under a new alliance, PK will fly the Cargo to Frankfurt from where LH will carry it onwards to various destinations that PIA do not serve, first flight operated yesterday from Karachi with 20000kgs for LH and 18000kgs for PK onboard either a PK 742M or an LH MD11F, LH will how ever treminate operations to KHI from 1 Nov '04 but continue operating to Lahore, PIA will begin using a 742M on their Frankfurt services in addition to the A310.
