Freighters ar Southend
Can someone tell me what the story/future is of the two cargo aircraft at SEN. 727 EI-PAC that has been there for 18 months but goes into the ATC hangar on a regular basis and the 737 ATA Brazil that has been there even longer and must have spent in access of six months in the hangar.
If the repairs are being payed for piecemeal it makes no sense to me that because surely after so long plus parking fees the aircraft cannot be worth anything. Finally I should imagine that the engineering costs are significant.

EI-PAC is of interest, who's was this one and which livery is it in? I have funny feeling this one operated for TNT at some stage???
There must be loads of other freighters lingering at SEN.
Any clues to others lingering.

EI-PAC gained its Irish registration when crewed and operated by Hunting Cargo Airlines Ireland - (later to become Air Contractors), under contract to TNT Skypack service

Thanks for the many replys and corrections but is there someone who can comment on the question posed. Saw 737 Ata Brazil at the field yesterday and the a/c having been in the hangar there seems to be more missing off it than ever before and copious amounts of plastic sheet.

Just Got Back!
Hi,
I've just got back from the airfield and at the moment (from what i can see and not including the Saabs on the north side) this is some of the aircraft over at thte airport.
HZ-123 Saudi Government (stored for ages!)
TF-ELL ATA Brazil (the subject of this forum and engineless and sad!)
2x Aeris 737-? Sorry i didn't get the regs of these but Aeris do have a lovely colour-scheme!
727-100 WBI N400RG This 727 has blended winglets and looks very smart!
2x Air Malta 737-300 These are parked outside ATC Lasham
2x BAE 146 formally owned by Air China I beleive. Being sold on soon.
A few BAE ATPS of BA origin and a few BAE 146s make up the rest. However while i was their i saw the tail of what i believe an Air France BAE 146 in the Air Livery hangar. Also a BAE 146 (G-CFAA) took off on a charter to flight somewhere.
I apoligise for the lack of detail but i hope this helps you have a rough idea of the sort of planes we have at Sthend.
Thanks Dave
P.s I almost forgot to tell you about the few hundred (or thats what it seems like) Cessnas we have their!
