So will everybody else...
|
Yup will vote No if that's the case too
|
Holy Moly
Im voting no as Well!!!! |
I'll vote yes! Just to be contrarian.
|
Geez why don't you wait to see the whole offer before jumping on a no bandwagon???
Anyway what are the chances of our new rostering deal having a daily minimum? I'm sick (and I'm sure others are too) of sitting on my ass in hotels and getting delayed into G days with no compensation. You can guess what fleet I'm on... 20-21 days of rostered work consistently with 50 hours to show for it. If you are gonna bend me over at least have the courtesy of a reach around. |
I'm voting 'No' regardless as well. I like that bandwagon, that's just how I roll. ;)
|
Whatever the deal, I bet it waves a carrot short term and back dated as a bigger carrot to hide the huge pineapple your FAMILY will be shafted with down the line once seniority has taken hold and it's too late to leave.
Short term win long term pain! |
Green Dragon
Showing good faith means we need to agree to Stand Down? I'm afraid you'll need to explain that logic.... "You don't want to bite the hand that feeds you." Yes, that's what this is all about.....just another greedy, fat-cat, union....with no legitimate grievance. That's funny. No problem Green Dragon. We are happy to resume talks next May. Thanks for your input. |
You have all fallen for the usual CX game plan. Make all appearances to "negotiate" and "in good faith" and then at the deadline they will simply say that it has been impossible to reach an agreement with the naughty pilots and so sign here or be gone. Worked before.
|
Pretty sure the number opting for "be gone" would prevent that strategy. The one way to take morale amongst remaining pilots even lower would be a sign or be fired contract. How does that get them where they are trying to go?
|
And...
We're getting 787-8F's! Huzzah! |
A50s and 787-8Fs, just goes to show how well the people supposedly running the place know the core of the business. What a joke.
|
I don't think they are worried, Roddy. They are not exactly bending over backward to give incentive for senior people or resignees to stay, such as part time rosters or basings. They want the expensive expats gone.
Two captains I spoke to immediately after they went upstairs to resign, one a checker, were basically told, 'Have a nice life, and don't let the door bang you on the arse on the way out'. They will just suck up the training effort required until the airline stops expanding due to the limitations of its only hub airport. By then there will be very little upgrade training required, and most, if not all, its pilots will be on local terms/C Scale/HKPA. |
all gone very quiet on the negotiation front.. we seem to get more updates from the company than our own union.
|
Rusty
Can you offer one bit of useful information the company has offered up other than that negotiations are happening?
