"Kept the peace"..... Of course, they've certainly done lots of that.

Well. The alternative I suspect would have been worse. And so we have relative peace. A subjective view of course. More so than our parents, grandparents or great grandparents enjoyed however. Then again no amount of arguing the historical truth will persuade the “woke” generation otherwise.

Never mind that they also showed how horrific the results of a nuclear war would be, which undoubtedly prevented war in the sixties which would have destroyed the planet.

in retrospect, maybe they were the bad guys🤔
