Direct Entry Traing Captains?

Looks as though bringing in Training Captains from outside is being considered

Or outsource to third parties (Boeing/ Airbus/ KA etc)

Direct entry captains actually violate your cos FYI.... I do agree manufacturer and contract training is a lot better than what we have now.

Awesome! More wasted training sectors. This would be an FO or CN course’s first xx sectors. Then, the inevitable “retraining” by our space shuttle commanders.

Anything would be better than the current CX commander course. These clowns on the 3rd floor have lost the plot. Never seen so many people lives distrusted and destroyed by the massive egos that dwell in the training department.

Bring it on. Direct Entry/Outsourced TC's won't be doing it for charity. Can't be many of them around who would be attracted to work out of HKG. And they will have to be accommodated. Then there's health care...

Well, as two of my colleagues who are still in training said to me last night: "guess they don't need us anymore"....

Not so long ago in a country not that far away, training was curtailed, the cap ex deferred, all with the acquiescence of the DFO. After all being a corporate wannabe, what his masters offered he gulped up.

The divisors went up, limits became targets. Long established conventions leaving pilots alone on days not assigned flying went out the window. Pressure built.

Right now scattered all over the globe, are former colleagues, here there and everywhere.

Some in France, some in Singapore, even others in North America, as the desperate self serving desire to pump the bonus in one year costs the shareholder ten fold.

The same 'management' class infects most corporate administrations, it is sort of how the west was lost....:E

“How the West was lost” to what or whom? Are we talking about the private or public sectors, or both? Agree that corporate greed is a problem, if that’s what you meant, but if you believe in the free market economy (which I do) then the ship will right itself as corporations realize it actually COSTS them money to disenfranchise employees, especially those with specialized skill sets. For example, I’m guessing Google compensates and treats its software engineers a bit differently than its janitors, but I don’t really know for sure.

If you don't want it to happen I would suggest-as a first step-getting an IFALPA Ban put on such that individuals who apply can be suitably described. No ban would indicate there is no problem accepting such a position should it be offered.

Hmm, did once have words with a Boeing TC who got a bit 'shouty' in our sim.
