Ahhh the training ban, "short term pain, long term gain". Don't worry, no one wanted an upgrade anyway.

What exactly is the TB trying to achieve? It's apparently not just RPs anymore, there's a whole heap of other things now. Absolute disaster this whole thing is. Sacrificing upgrades for no gain whatsoever.

It's not just about that anymore going by the Chairmans update. According to the update it's now RPs, HKPA and pay. No one knows what's going on, everyone is just being sucked into this pointless fight that is costing us money and career progression.

To be clear, the Chairman who is now leading the fight says we are in CC/TB for RPs, HKPA and pay. Anyone on expat housing who wanted to go into training must wait until an acceptable HKPA deal is reached otherwise he is the worst person in the world as described in the posts above.

Thats why its called a union and collective bargaining. Members helping other members and not being selfish in times of need.

I dont think it will matter, sounds like the 13th month wont be paid this year. I think if that happens well have more issues that hkpa or rosters.

I think it is extremely unfair and unrealistic someone on expat housing would delay going into training for HKPA, that's the point I was making. CC/TB was supposedly just for RPs but now there's other stuff that's been added on.

Expect to be very surprised then. They will couch it such that gnd staff are not disadvantaged.

If 13th month is NOT paid, the following events will occur:

1. DEFOs with wife and kids will still apply.
2. 250 hr 'Expats' will still apply.
3. Guys will still break the training ban.
4. People will still work G/L days.
5.Ppruners who say that they "don't take off 100kg" will still take off 100 kg.
