Pilot To Chef

You know Hong Kong is effed up for pilots, when an Aussie pilot comes back to chase his dream of becoming a chef on Masterchef instead! :E

AntiClimatic 17th May 2016 19:16

that's hilarious.
I thought you were blowing smoke up our asses but a quick search revealed the truth! :ok:

Mill Worker 18th May 2016 00:49

Why not? Cooking would be more interesting than airline flying, it may be more financially rewarding if he is any good at it and it would provide a great lifestyle at that country pub.

sentinel1207 18th May 2016 19:12

@Mill Worker, depends from person to person really. What is of interest to someone is high subjective and nowhere near objective.

Anotherday 18th May 2016 23:07

Fu*k it, good on him.

Everyone bitches on this forum about wanting to leave, here's someone doing it because of something they really want to do. How many of us put on hold our dreams of being an adult movie producer or farmer etc etc and then woke up one morning in Hong Kong aged 50.

One life, live it.

Will IB Fayed 19th May 2016 01:43

Good on you BC. Gutsy move!

Pogie 19th May 2016 20:02

Brett Carter - MasterChef Australia - Network Ten

LongTimeInCX 20th May 2016 01:02

Well I think it's great to have the courage of your convictions and go for what you want.
Top guy too, was always a great guy to fly with.

Hugo Peroni the IV 20th May 2016 01:24

Yep, a great guy. Great enough to enter into training during the 'please don't' period i.e. about a month before the training ban.

What he's doing on MasterChef is fantastic, without question. What he did when he entered training was not, however, fantastic!

Anotherday 20th May 2016 01:33

Roster says he's got indefinite leave, don't think he's resigned.

pill 21st May 2016 10:26

So Carter gets to hang out with Nigella next week. You get to…..
Good luck to him.

whats good for one is good for all. I'll be applying for that unpaid leave to.
Unpaid leave to what?
What unpaid leave?

LongTimeInCX 23rd May 2016 12:13

Some might consider that comment bad form Johnny.
Perhaps worth revisiting?

Free Flight 27th May 2016 16:20

I've only seen the show once or twice when I've been home and he comes across as a lovely guy, always smiling. Hope he does well throughout the show
