One good news:

He is counting down, tick, tock, tick, tock,.......RIP!

One (at least) bad news, the first bad one is:

He will be our new DG
Study his gesture, he meant "I can cover the whole sky with one hand" and demonstrated hegemonist manner ( 隻 手 遮 天 ).

Lowkoon 6th May 2016 12:47

Ah yes, making officials publicly accountable in Hong Kong. Why don't we just vote them out? Ohhh, wait...

Yep, not in our life time.

Flex88 7th May 2016 01:46

Yes, next in seniority will get the job. Government, that's the way it works; absolutely nothing to do with whether they are qualified, have knowledge of the technical aspects of the posting or (gasp) whether they are any good at all...

Come to think of it, I know another company in Hong Kong that works in exactly the same way.........!!

Privatization is only good for emerging market with a lot of service providers.

What was on his left collar?
That is a pocket size y arr gar injector. Who is he by the way?

Just in time for Tony Tyler to slide into the hot seat.
One of the key selection criteria for any aviation related management position in HKG seems to exclude anyone who has actually holds relevant industry qualifications.

You could be right on the ticket there with TT.

Sharp pyramid pointing downwards, poor fung shui (Chinese) or omen (Western). No very wonder delay for five years. Please change to the following:

A business man is good at maximizing profits, most of time for himself only. unless there are real business competition. ask those work in PCCW how was it liked before it was sold.

What the hell is that?
Almost correct, it is the hell in CAD.

Air Profit 29th May 2016 05:47

Hahaha....Curtain, for the first time ever your anti-religious rantings have had me on the floor laughing. Excellent :ok:

MENELAUS 29th May 2016 06:02

FYI, hands, forearm, face, head, feet, nose (some include mouth/ears/more) have to be cleaned (generally 3 times each) before going into the empty room where everyone pretends to present themselves to their silent, invisible god to declare their love and admiration for him, tell him how great he is, thank him for being so great, pledge their devotion to his invisibleness and lack of communications, etc., that kind of thing. Five times a day, every day, and also just prior to strapping on explosives to take out infidels, etc., and various other celebrations.

Brilliant, just brilliant I'll pinch that if you don't mind..

Frogman1484 29th May 2016 09:48

So I gather there are quite a few muslim ATC or CAD brethren to warrent this😂😂😂

Quoted from SCMP:

"Why safety fears over Hong Kong’s new air traffic control system are groundless
P. F. Wong says given the stringent testing that has been carried out, the more technologically advanced system is good to go, marking a new chapter in the city’s aviation history"

flying.zodiac listen to this story

The shadowing operation was conducted Monday+Tuesday, the results were sucktifactory as there were only a few crashed controller workstations. Controller would be given a two-wheel scooter at work so that they would escape faster when the workstation crashed catastrophically.

:D

Yes, the new system is really bad, not user friendly, too much data entry, should be operated by two controllers instead of one. The whole concept and design of procedures are all wrong and the bosses either have no idea or are plain ignorant leaving the controllers to mop up the mess and eventually carry the blame if an operational error is made. The best thing the retired director did was to appoint a total layman to be his successor, this guy has no professional aviation qualifications-not a pilot, controller or engineer, all he can do is to choose to listen to who he believes and Hong Kong ATC will go down the drain with him and the new system

Flying Clog 7th Jun 2016 09:34

Sounds like the company. A pack of MBA's with no aviation experience, putting in place operational changes to save a few pennies. And leaving the crews to mop up the mess when it goes wrong.

Sounds like Cathay Pacific.

Follow his suit, we can ask CAD technician to come our home to install wifi setting, check private home computer and free AM63 transport will also be provided. How nice.

Will you build a room within the workplace for your wife to dance?
