KA to get more CX aircraft.

Here's a great rumor...

KA to get the CX 777 classics in 2016.

oriental flyer 9th Aug 2015 13:06

I'm glad that they have more crew than we do

swh 9th Aug 2015 13:28

Makes sense with the comments about delays into China and cutting frequency however increasing capacity.

boocs 9th Aug 2015 14:09

Only if they come with hats, otherwise no dice.

Of course, yes, this makes sense. Start a sub-fleet at KA where there is very little Boeing experience and create pilot shortage in their Airbus network system. They will get lower pilot utilization and increased costs, but since when does that really matter for Swires. They are into power, not money.

Too bad about that ironclad scope clause.
I have heard CX aircraft using KA callsigns.

Also a while ago KA freighters were using CX callsigns.

So how is that ironclad scope clause working out for you?

Gnadenburg 10th Aug 2015 00:22

Does the flight deck seating on the 777 recline further than Airbus?

That would really excite the KA guys awaiting flow control in China or 2 man sub-continent red eye returns.

Does that ironclad scope clause agreement include hand me downs?

Lowkoon 10th Aug 2015 00:26

Would it really be worth introducing an entire new type for an extra 30 seats?

Doubt it. Just send more of your clapped out 330s that have paid themselves off 200 times.

Avinthenews 10th Aug 2015 01:18

The iron clad was a joke I'm guessing.

The 6? 777-300s have just shy of 400 seats and the 772s probably just help the case for the fleet size.

ACMS 10th Aug 2015 06:48

I tell you what if i was in KA I wouldn't mind receiving Cx's 5 772's they are well maintained and good machines. Better than a clapped out A330.

cpdude 10th Aug 2015 08:06

1. Freighters were NEVER on any Scope Clause until the Canadians placed it in their Scope Clause!

2. Under the scope clause, CX can transfer or sell the aircraft to Dragonair as they wish. The scope Clause only covers aircraft that are owned and operated by the Company under their own AOC.

Scope Clauses are iron clad when you understand what protections they afford.

you still can't spot a super obvious joke?
You should have added a  or an :ugh:.

;)

Lowkoon 11th Aug 2015 05:24

Scribbled in pencil on a post it note stuck to your RPA.

hkgyyzhkg 11th Aug 2015 13:56

Bigger aircraft is nice, but those chinese airspace restrictions will just become a bigger headache with bigger aircrafts (more capacity) but less frequency.

Wouldn't it be easier if they create a system where they get to keep the valuable slots and frequencies, pretend to operate those flights, but cancel them and push those passengers to earlier (but delayed) flights if a delay does arise?

Lowkoon 11th Aug 2015 14:06

Or take the train?

Frogman1484 11th Aug 2015 23:15

...or even better...don't go!:ok:

Lowkoon 12th Aug 2015 14:08

If only we had a choice frogman...

JY9024 19th Aug 2015 15:08
