Cathay’s 100th Aircraft!!!

So lets have some fun with this. Cathay needs a name to put on the side of the fuselage.

It’s an Airbus A330! Also names if it were a 744 or a 777.

The Bus is going to take a thrashing over this me thinks.

In honour of Phillip, we should name it “MAXIS”. You can still get a cake onboard.

Or "Hanger Queen", sorry thats the A340-600.

CaptainGSR 8th Jul 2006 15:27

"Heavy Bullet" if it was a 747F.:)

Mr. Bloggs 8th Jul 2006 18:32

Whole different meaning of clearing the other end at 15’ or 35’. That’s the 747 Classic. That is with or without 1 eng inop. Don’t think the engines will carry you that far.

But what is a name:????

“Glutless Classic” or “Scream for the End”

Glacier1900 8th Jul 2006 19:33

I always thought it would be awesome to name your ac after girls, so you could say "who you ridin today" " Um....Betsy I think" "Man she's a sweet ride though" "Yup, nothin like riding a fat chick"
And so on.

There will be no additional A340s joining the Cathay fleet. Only A330s, 77Ws and 744s.

Paint it Yellow!

Sandwich Officer 11th Jul 2006 15:03

"We earned 3.3 billion in profits last year, wormed our way out of paying any profit share to our employees, and all I got was this lousy paint job..."

though that might be a tad too long to fit lengthwise on a 333...

Jaguar7777 18th Jul 2006 02:07

100th Aircraft....

Call it "Centurion" and send it to Rome.
Call it a "Great Century at Bat" and send it to London.
Call it "0.000000000001%" and send it to Shanghai to represent the population.

If its a 747F call it "Tonnage" and send it to USA, and watch them scractch their heads wondering how many 1000kg to the lb.
:ok:

Five Green 20th Jul 2006 05:53

Drone

They could call it Drone, cause if they don't get their training figured out they won't be able to get any pilots for it !

Quite an appropriate registration for an Airbus.

rampvet 29th Aug 2006 19:32

Here's the choice

The winning name is..."Progress Hong Kong."

http://www.cathaypacific.com/cpa/en_...32000011d21c39____

Not quite as zippy as some of the suggestions on this thread...
