CX Second Officer re-application

Hi, does anyone knows if Cathay consider re-applications to their Second Officer programme? I attended their assessment in HK and passed the simulator stage but was not selected after doing the panel interview. Their website says its possible to reapply but not sure if they only select certain candidates in that case. Their SO programme is closed for now but hopefully they will resume recruitment one day.

Hi you definitely can re-apply, I know a few people who are in your situation. With your rejection letter, there should be a stand down period (e.g 12 months or 3 months, depending on how you did in the interview). From my understanding though, SO position is pretty saturated at the moment and I would assume it would take a couple of years before it re-opens. Feel free to pm if you have any questions.
