i called a few days ago, they told me there are no vacancies for the freighter fleet at the moment,and no plans to recruit even in 2003..

My understanding is that there are vacancies to be filled in the freighter fleet next year. I have heard 14 mentioned. CX did finals for freighter FO slots in HKG last week and there are to be more. Keep pestering them and good luck.
