HK Medical HyperThyroid ?

Hi,

I'll have to move to Hong Kong because of my wife and will have to do the HK medical class 1. I've read the guidelines and it's more stringent than the FAA doesn't look like they have any special issuances ?

I currently have FAA class 1 special issuance with hyperthyroidism and currently take Tapazole. Thyroid function is currently controlled. Does anyone know if I'll qualify for the HK Cad medical with this issue ?

On the HK medical guide it just says thyroid dysfunction precludes flying. I doubt it's that blanket since it's pretty common and most flying agencies have issuances for thyroid function, but if anyone has any experience with it, feed back would be greatly appreciated.
